We used Lickey Builders in 2016 to undertake a substantial house renovation in an older property. they did an excellent job and we now have a beautiful, modern, functional family home.

David Platt was at all times friendly and easy to communicate with, As we were living abroad for the initial stages of the renovations his updates as to their progress and his timely responses to our queries were much appreciated. David respected our ideas and gave clear build and design advice being conscious of our budget. David also had access to reliable tradespeople and was able to co ordinate with them to bring the whole project to completion on schedule.

We purchased an empty bungalow which Lickey Builders have spent the last 6 months fully renovating and extending – producing exactly what we wanted within the time scale and budget discussed. These projects carry inevitable stress levels and David Platt has operated with the utmost integrity at all stages, managing all aspects from start to finish of our home project. Any issues which arose were handled with a solution based strategy and fully discussed at all stages with us and Dave’s wisdom and experience within the building trade were invaluable.

We had an extension built onto our house starting 2013 to enable us to have another living area off the kitchen/diner, and to make another large double bedroom with en suite. We also took the opportunity to refresh our bathroom and current en suite.

We were impressed by Lickey Builders from the start, as their approach was very professional. They explained our options and the impact this would have on the cost of our build.

Once agreed, David Platt from Lickey Builders managed and built our extension along with his team to the time frame set out and to the cost we had agreed. The only time we needed to make decisions was on choosing our bathroom suites, tiles and bi folds, everything else was done for us. This was ideal as we did not have to get involved in organising contractors etc.

David’s idea for a Decking Area leading straight off from the Bi -folds has created a fabulous open space in the summer, so letting the outside in.

Our extension is very much a used room and has become the hub of the family home.

We would certainly recommend Lickey Builders as we cannot fault them.

Lickey Builders performed to an exemplary standard when they installed our new kitchen.
The work involved stripping out the old from what was a 250 year old farm kitchen involving many structural issues which were overcome with professionalism and left clean each evening.
The installation went according to programme and all specialist tradesmen were of the highest calibre and did attend when expected to.

We were helped with the initial plans and designs and were kept informed with the progress during the work on a daily basis.
